Wildebeest Calving and Kilimanjaro Marathon -2024

Exciting news!! February, the month that ushers in the returning great wildebeest migration from north Serengeti to south Serengeti for one special mission – procreation. The calving is strictly carried out in Ndutu area, that part of Serengeti and Ngorongoro eco-system suitable for dropping thousands and thousands of new born calves. Only in this area the number of the wildebeest is replenished by giving birth to new born ones. Some wildebeest  may have been eaten by the savannah predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. But some may have been devoured by the Mara river crocs while  crossing, on their way to/from Masai Mara in Kenya.  In Ndutu area, the balance is even out. But, next year, to be exact, February 25th 2024, there will be an extra exciting event . This is nothing other than Kilimanjaro Marathon. So, two events can be combined – Marathon and Wildlife Safari with a focus on wildebeest migration calving in southern Serengeti. … Am I through, not yet. You can add something more, Mt Kilimanjaro trek or Mt Meru Trek. The program will look like this: start with the trek, followed by Marathon, top it up with a safari… all rolled up  into one package. But some of you may like the roll to be heavier…, we have heard you loud and clear. Add relaxation at Zanzibar or Mafia Island. Or the beach of northern Tanzania shore with intimate accommodations.
