Day 1 : Drive to Lake Manyara, afternoon game drive

Visiting: Lake Manyara

Depart for Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunch and game drive till late afternoon.

Lake Manyara is tucked beneath the Rift Valley wall, thin green band of forest flanked by the 600 metres sheer high red and brown cliffs of the escarpment and the shores of the soda lake which gives name to the park. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, Manyara features nearly 400 different species of bird, red-billed quelea, pelicans, cormorants and thousands of flamingos.

Day 2 : Drive to Lake Natron, Maasai walk at Engaruka Village

Visiting: Lake Natron

After breakfast drive to Lake Natron via Engaruka Village. At Engaruka village, undertake village walk to experience the Masaai way of being. Complete this wild and wonderful drive by entering Ngaresero village and heading to Lake Natron Halisi Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 : Lake Natron, morning game drive, afternoon waterfalls hike

Visiting: Lake Natron

Morning drive to see the beautiful highly scenic lake that is Lake Natron.

Lake Natron is an almost surreal soda lake, set at an altitude of 610m, below the Rift valley escarpment, which offers incredible bird and game viewing. Natron is the only breeding ground for East Africa’s millions of flamingos, which usually congregate to breed here between August and October.

Return to the camp for lunch and then late afternoon walk to the waterfalls.

Day 4 : Drive to Serengeti, afternoon game drive

Visiting: Serengeti

After breakfast drive to Serengeti via Loliondo, game drive en route with picnic lunch.

The legendary Serengeti is the archetypal safari destination and is renowned for its wealth of leopard and lion.

Day 5 : Serengeti, full day game drive

Visiting: Serengeti

After breakfast discover the Serengeti plain with a full day tour.

Serengeti, meaning “endless plains”, is home to the annual migration of more than a million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle undertaking their long trek to new grazing grounds. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth.

Day 6 : Serengeti, morning game drive, drive to Ngorongoro via optional Olduvai Gorge and Maasai village

Visiting: Ngorongoro

Early morning game drive, come back for breakfast, then proceed with game drive until lunch. After lunch, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game drive en route.

Day 7 : Ngorongoro, half day game drive, drive to Arusha/Moshi/Kilimanjaro Airport

Visiting: Ngorongoro

After breakfast descend down the crater for a 6 hours tour.

Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacular setting and contains an abundance of wildlife with over 20,000 large animals including Tanzania’s remaining black rhino. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is unique in that it allows over 40,000 Masaai pastoralists with their cattle goats and sheep to live alongside the abundant wildlife in a natural setting.

Late afternoon return to Moshi/Arusha or airport for onward journey.
