Once at the gate, our team will handle all the permits and logistics while you soak in the excitement of the adventure ahead.

As you embark on your trek through the lush rainforest, look out for unique flora and fauna, including the elusive colobus monkeys. Enjoy a slow and steady pace as you hike approximately 6 kilometers to Lemosho Forest Camp (2,100m). Set up camp, enjoy a warm meal, and soak in the sounds of the African wilderness as you prepare for the days ahead.

Day 3: Lemosho Forest Camp to Shira 1 Camp

After a hearty breakfast, we start our trek to Shira 1 Camp (3,610m). Today’s hike takes us through beautiful heathland and offers enchanting views of Kilimanjaro. As we ascend, the landscape transforms, presenting a panoramic view of the mountain and the surrounding areas.

The hike is around 8 kilometers, and the combination of fresh air and stunning vistas will inspire you to keep pushing toward the summit. Upon arrival at Shira 1 Camp, pitch your tent, and take a moment to marvel at the magnificent sights around you. You’ll have the chance to take an acclimatization walk in the afternoon, which is crucial for your body to adjust to the altitude.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

On day four, we’ll continue our ascent toward Shira 2 Camp (3,840m). This leg of the journey is roughly 7 kilometers, and you will witness the breathtaking Shira Plateau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The view of the summit from here is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Take your time to enjoy the vibrant plant life, including giant lobelias and groundsel, as you hike through the diverse ecosystems. Once you reach Shira 2 Camp, savor a fantastic dinner prepared by our talented chefs and share stories with your fellow climbers around the campfire under the starlit sky.

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

Today’s trek takes us from Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp (3,960m). The distance covered is around 10 kilometers, and you’ll experience a fascinating hike through the alpine desert, where the landscape is stark and dramatic.

One highlight of this day is the ascent towards Lava Tower (4,600m), a geological marvel that offers stunning views of the surrounding area. After lunch, you will descend to Barranco Camp, which helps with acclimatization. The lush vegetation and the iconic Barranco Wall create a stunning backdrop for your evening.

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day six is an exciting one! After breakfast, we tackle the famous Barranco Wall, a steep climb that will certainly get your adrenaline pumping. Don’t worry; our expert guides will assist you every step of the way. The climb is about 300 meters, and reaching the top will give you a sense of accomplishment.

Once at the top, the terrain levels out, and you’ll hike down to Karanga Camp (4,000m) for a total distance of around 5 kilometers. Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

After a good night’s rest, we’ll continue to Barafu Camp (4,680m), where you’ll have the final views of Kilimanjaro before your summit push. The trek covers approximately 4 kilometers, and as you ascend, the landscape transforms into a barren, rocky terrain.

Upon reaching Barafu Camp, take some time to rest and hydrate. This evening, you’ll enjoy an early dinner and prepare for the summit attempt. Remember to organize your gear and get a good night’s sleep; you’ll need it!

Day 8: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak

The day has finally arrived! We wake up at around midnight to begin our trek to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. This challenging ascent takes approximately 6-8 hours, and the excitement in the air is palpable.

As you make your way up, the stars twinkle above you, and with each step, you draw closer to your ultimate goal. The sunrise while reaching Stella Point is something you’ll never forget. From there, it’s just a short trek to Uhuru Peak. When you reach the summit, take a moment to revel in your achievement! Capture the moment with a photo at the iconic sign and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.

After celebrating your success, it’s time to descend back to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved rest. You’ll spend a few hours recuperating, and after lunch, you’ll continue your descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m).
